The Sixth Toe

I just found out that my friend's ex-boyfriend has six toes. I could not help it. I just had to laugh my heart out. This was even her description: "...parang dalawang middle, or dalawang third toe..." My friend, having a foot fetish of her own, had no other choice but to accept the not-so-normal foot condition of her ex-boyfriend.

I am not bringing this up here because it is a laughing matter. Well, it pretty much is, but that's beside the point. We deal with different people everyday with not-so-normal conditions... even the littlest abnormalities seem to bother us, such as a person who has hairy arms or who has an excessively oily face. Or someone who has a noticeable birth mark. Or maybe also someone who has yellow teeth. It even goes beyond the physical. We seem to be bothered as well with somebody who seems to know more than we do, or one who is liked by everyone. We will never admit it, but we are somehow disturbed by things and conditions that we think we do not have... regardless of whether they are good ones or not.

There's only one thing I am sure of, I definitely do not want a sixth toe. Or a future boyfriend who may have it.
